What visitors say
“I had a fantastic experience at The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh. The tour was informative, engaging, and suitable for both beginners and whisky enthusiasts. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, making the history and production of Scotch whisky easy to understand. The whisky tasting was excellent, and the impressive whisky collection was a highlight of the visit. The location near Edinburgh Castle is convenient, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this attraction to anyone visiting Edinburgh and looking to learn more about Scotland’s whisky heritage.”
“Located directly across from the Witches' Well and just steps from Edinburgh Castle, The Scotch Whisky Experience combines multimedia exhibits with guided whisky tastings to introduce visitors to the rich history and traditions behind Scotland's most iconic spirit. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt that we learned a great deal about whisky production, Scottish culture, and the country's heritage. It's highly recommended for anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of Scotland beyond its famous landmarks and explore an important part of its cultural identity. Booking in advance is also recommended, especially during peak tourist season, as tours can fill up quickly.”
“💰 Price / Value for Money - Very good A well-designed experience that combines whisky tasting, storytelling, and technology in an entertaining way. 💡 Tip - Even if you're not a whisky expert, the explanations make the tasting easy to understand and enjoyable. Cash payments are accepted. ✅ Would I Recommend? Yes Innovative digital presentations and storytelling kept the experience engaging from start to finish. Time passed surprisingly quickly. Very friendly reception staff. Interesting collection of whisky bottles on display. You can choose from five different whiskies for the tasting. Each whisky is explained in detail by the guide. A tasting glass is included and can be taken home as a souvenir. Additional whisky tastings can be purchased at the end of the tour. 🌍 Background - Adult tourists, first time in Edinburgh.”
“Good little tour, the guide was brilliant. Family of 4 tickets were very reasonable but I felt like it was over pretty quickly and the tour mainly consisted of listening to the guide and watching on screens. That said we did enjoy the tour, I would have maybe just like something a little extra to compliment the tour.”
“The best tour! I was with a batch that Marshall toured. He was knowledgeable, approachable and funny. The cutting-edge facility really offers you your money’s worth. I’m glad I’ve taken the Gold tour. Highly recommended! They can also accommodate people with mobility difficulty. Which is an A+! Sláinte Mhath!”
