What visitors say
“If you’re looking for a uniquely Scottish experience that combines great whisky, local charm, and fascinating history, Scottish Rogue’s Whisky Pub Crawl is an absolute must. From start to finish, the tour was handled with an infectious enthusiasm and warmth that sets it apart. What really stood out to me was how genuinely friendly and engaging the Neill and John were. From the moment the tour started, they made everyone feel welcome and relaxed - like we were old friends on a night out, not strangers on a tour. Whether a whisky novice or a seasoned sipper, they had time for you with no snobbery or pretentiousness. They remembered names, shared personal recommendations, and encouraged everyone to get involved without ever being pushy or overbearing. But this isn’t just a drinking tour - it’s a deep dive into Glasgow’s colorful past, and that’s where it really shines. The hosts were not only knowledgeable but also natural storytellers. The stories were woven seamlessly into the night - from gritty tales of old Glasgow to the city’s role in the whisky trade. The selection of pubs was spot-on too - each one unique, atmospheric, and full of character. And of course, the whisky tasting was excellent, with a well-curated mix of drams that offered something for every palate. In short, Scottish Rogue delivers much more than just a pub crawl - it’s a warm, engaging, and surprisingly educational evening that will leave you with a deeper appreciation for both whisky and Glasgow, and a wee glow on your cheeks! Highly recommended!”
“HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. More than simply tour guides or whisky experts, I consider Neill and John to be more like ambassadors for the entire Scotch Whisky industry and the city of Glasgow. We had a tasting/tour (including a drive to Glengoyne) with Scottish Rogue and it was one of the highlights of a week in Glasgow. They are eager and excited to help others understand the history (and future) of the whisky industry in Scotland and we couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. Their explanations and discussion provided a very accessible way to understand some concepts and subtleties that can be a little intimidating for non-experts.”
“Wonderful tasting by Scottish Rogue Neill and John . Blended Malts with a Blended Scotch for balance . Excellent info and stories to accompany great Scotch. Love the welcome , fun and craic on these tastings with a friendly humorous bunch of whisky folk”
“Did the Glengoyne distillery tour from Glasgow. It was a really fun experience from beginning to end. Glasgow’s history in whiskey making was really informative and the whiskey was great! Would definitely recommend this option from Scottish Rogue.”
“Even the weather didn't dampen our spirits on this fabulous Glasgow walking tour, 2.5 hours flew by! Neil was a perfect guide who knew the history and of course was very knowledgeable about the whiskey. The whiskey tasting was in lovely, different city centre pubs/bars, each with a story to tell. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in history, walking and whiskey of course. Thank you again!”
